ISO 9002 has been updated to the new ISO 9000-2000 standard. There is only one standard - ISO 9001:2000 with no distiction between 9002 and 9001. The elements of design remain with the onus no being on ISO 9002 systems to demonstrate they do not design. This will include various caveats added to an updated quality manual. Guidelines for implementation will be ISO 9004:2000. This site provides information about the updates to the standard and tips and hints on how to get the most from your ISO 9002 system.
